Keith Bowers
Keith Bowers is a former BBC executive producer and was at one stage in charge of all the BBC’s international current affairs output on television, domestic radio and the World Service.
He has worked extensively in Ethiopia over the past ten years and has taught in the School of Journalism and Communication at Addis Ababa University. He now works with young documentary makers as part of the Ethiopian Film Initiative.
At the BBC Keith ran two international television documentary series – Assignment and Correspondent.
Keith is based in the UK as a broadcast consultant but he has travelled widely throughout Ethiopia over the past decade and has a range of influential contacts there. He is keen that people from outside Ethiopia can come to understand and appreciate the country in all its intriguing complexity and diversity.
